Faithful Friends is located near Nobby about half an hour's drive through the picturesque Darling Downs south from Toowoomba. The town of Nobby is famous for its pub and the connections with Arthur Hoey Davis, better known as Steele Rudd, the creator of 'Dad and Dave' and author of the 'On Our Selection' articles and books.
The
cemetery occupies part of a 22.5 acre property set amongst rolling fields planted alternately
with sunflowers, sorghum, corn, forage and other Downs crops, so the landscape is a continually
changing kaleidoscope of browns, greens, brilliant yellows and rusty golds.
Here in this idyllic setting Judy and John look after their
Jersey heifers and their chooks and grow
their own vegetables.
While the cemetery is still in its early development stages we have
plans to create in the cemetery area a rural garden where paths will wind between native trees
and shrubs
with large shaded grassy areas, water features and places to sit and rest. A pergola will be
the centre
piece and will provide visitors with shelter from the weather when it is needed.
Please feel free to call us or to visit at any time.
