Faithful Friends is located near Nobby about half an hour's drive through the picturesque Darling Downs south from Toowoomba. The town of Nobby is famous for its pub and the connections with Arthur Hoey Davis, better known as Steele Rudd, the creator of 'Dad and Dave' and author of the 'On Our Selection' articles and books.

The cemetery occupies part of a 22.5 acre property set amongst farms of rolling fields planted alternately with sunflowers, sorghum, corn, forage and other Downs crops, so the landscape is a continually changing kaleidoscope of browns, greens, brilliant yellows and rusty golds.

Here in this idyllic setting Judy and John look after their Jersey heifers and their chooks and their dog and cats and grow their own vegetables.

Our Memorial Gardens are developing well. Dozens of native trees and shrubs have been planted and gardens have been established. Eventually, paths will wind between the trees and shrubs. Amid the large shaded grassy areas will be water features (the bird bath is already in place) and places to sit and rest. Our pergola will be the centre piece and will provide visitors with shelter from the weather when it is needed.

John Knights started Queensland's first pet cemetery- called The Pet Cemetery - at Greenbank in 1974. It is still operating today. With the knowledge and experience gained from establishing the business of pet funerals we are well placed to ensure that everything will be done as you would wish.

Here's what others have to say...

To dearest John,

Firstly I would like to sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity that you have allowed us, to have our sweet Reni remain with us no matter where we live. This has helped us immensely in being able to prepare ourselves for her departure. She was a remarkable friend and a valued family member and just having her brought home today really comforted us.

I am so thankful for your services and for the dignity and care that you offered both my family and Serenity. You will never be forgotten and our warmest wishes are sent your way for letting our "baby" remain with us. I didnt get to tell you how beautifully you engraved her urn, it truly is lovely. Words cannot express what you have given us - hope, peace, tranquility and comfort.

Truly what you offer is a wonderful thing. Thankyou once again,

always in our hearts from Sandi, Michael and family

Dear Judy and John,

I would like to just spend a sentence or two just thanking you for your service to us. It is so nice to come across such compassionate people. There should be more people like you in this world. Our dogs and horses, (and even our chooks) become real members of our family and we suffer when they go. Although few words were spoken between us, there is a hidden understanding between people who are real pet lovers.

Thank-you again.

Kind Regards,

Kirk, Pip, Tom and Elizabeth.

Good Morning Judy & John,

Merv and I would like to thank-you for your wonderful service and compassion through our difficult loss of Gabby. She was a big part of our family and we miss her dearly.

We have no hesitation in recommending Faithful Friends

Thank-you again

Regards

Anna and Merv

Dear John and Judy,

We would like to thank you for the excellent service we have received from you in taking care of the cremation of our dog, Larah. You have been so kind and understanding.

The urn is lovely and we are glad we have her home for Christmas.

Also thank you for your Christmas card, we really appreciate that.

Best wishes to you both from,

John and Tina

Hello John

I would like to thank you for the kind and considerate way you dealt with our dogs. Even although they have been gone for many years now they are still very special - so much so that as you know we couldn't leave them behind when we move. The boxes are beautiful and I really appreciate the card.

Once again many thanks for you kindness.

Jenny
